Truck stays in 1st gear in tow haul mode sometimes. On flat ground with light load

Take it out of tow/haul mode. It is suppose to hold gears longer. Also make sure you haven't locked out higher gears on your select shift.
Or if you think it isn't working right unplug your battery and let the tranny relearn.
