Help! Seafoam killed my FX4
I was told to put a can of Seafoam in with a full tank of gas. It was sputtering on the highway as I traveled 150 miles. Would accelerate just fine but deceleration was terrible. Got off the highway and it dies every time I stop. Now won't idle at all. What can be done at this point? 2010 FX4 5.4 with no modes.

I doubt it's the sea foam that did it. Especially diluted in the tank. I could see doing it in the intake breaking enough stuff loose to clog a cat or foul an O2.
My 06 5.4 did what your describing when it had a leaky injector which clogged the cat.

I would clean the throttle body and the mass airflow sensor with cleaners of the same names. I had an 04 fx4 5.4l 3v and it would stall when I came to a stop but run fine otherwise, I cleaned the throttle body and airflow sensor and it fixed the problem. I have used seafood before in my gas in that truck and had no ill effects from it. Start with those there are tutorial on cleaning them and it's cheap just need throttle body cleaner and mass airflow sensor cleaner. I'll post a link when I find it again.
