Default Help me kill this rattle (pics)

So my truck has been making this annoying metallic rattle/vibration sound when pulling away from a stop - particularly on inclines. Generally it's just as it shifts from one gear to the other. It feels like it is coming from beneath my feet so I crawled under this evening and I think I found what's causing it but can't really see how to fix it. I snapped a couple pics of the heat shield I believe it is.

Any ideas on what I could do to fix this? Right in the middle where the round piece is under the shield is where there seems to be movement. Both ends seem pretty tight. Do you all think a big stainless clamp around the middle area where that round piece is would fix it?

Thanks.

No need to buy a big clamp.....if you have 2-3 smaller, common ones aground the garage, hook them together and go for it. If it doesn't work your only out $1 and 5 minutes.
You could also maybe just bend it up, away from the pipe a bit, with a screwdriver.

I snip the bands holding the shield on with tin snips and throw the whole works in the recycle bin. Only thing I've found to work 100% is to remove it. On other trucks I've tried new clamps, bending them this way and that, and to pack steel wool between the shield and pipe with some success but never permanent.

Like MattXLT said, just take the shield off. It won't hurt anything. Think of it as a weight reduction performance mod.

Thanks guys. I thought about removing it entirely as well but it seems it is spot welded in place on both ends. I'll try putting a clamp on in the middle and cranking it down to see if that helps first.
