Default help end the fight

OK my sister in law and her husband borrow my truck. My wifedoesn't understand why it bothers me. They are great people we do a lot togetherI couldn't ask for better family. We own a piece of property together and have built a house. We are still working on it and they like to borrow the f150 they own a small car and anSUV. Settle my argument either explain to my wife they need to buy there own truck orI'm just being an a**

i don't lend mine except to my dad if he needed it. he always let me use his when i got my lisence. but he does have his own so it's not very often that would happen.

Borrowing it once of twice I could understand, it would still not be what I would want to do, but any more than that, they need to buy a truck if they need one a lot!

If they borrow it once or twice a year, that's fine.

If they borrow it once or twice a month (or even more), it is time they see to their own vehicle needs rather than rely on you. Also, if they borrow it that often they need to start contributing cash for general upkeep, not just gas.

It's your truck. If you won't want anyone to drive it they that should be up to you. I don't let anyone drive my truck. Hell, I don't let anyone read my newspaper before I do.

just depends on the condition of your truck and what there borrowing it for. If there borrowing to help move furniture or tow a trailer to the dump, ok..If there using it to do yard projects like mulch, rocks, dirt, and the like..Hell no. Like you said, its ok to lend every now and then but if family looks at your truck like the family truck,,I would say sell your dam SUV and go buy a truck. I don't own a rental truck..JMHO!!

I agree with the once maybe twice but that's it. I would say your family needs a $2k work truck.

I'd much prefer to drive and help someone out than loaning my truck out. Only people I trust with my truck is my dad, and brother in law who also drives a new F150 Supercrew.
