Hey guys, can anybody possibly shed some light on this? My 2010 F-150 FX2 4.6L Supercab has had the brake warning light on the instrument cluster illuminated for over a year now probably. It would flicker on and off and now it's just on solid.
I replaced the parking brake switch, and attempted the brake fluid sensor but couldn't find the proper part. Although when I removed the sensor, the textual low brake fluid warning came on and required pulling the battery cable to reset it. Brake fluid level is fine. I do have a new F-150 sensor that would friction fit under the reservoir, but didn't lock into place like the factory sensor. However, I'm thinking it's not the sensor itself?
I just pulled out FORScan for the first time and I'm getting these codes. Anybody have any insight? It's strange seeing both. What's the commonality? Clearly that's what's causing the light to turn on.
The Instrument Cluster passed the diagnostic test with no codes.
GEM/SJB Generic Electronic Module / Smart Junction Box threw these codes:
B2479: Park Brake Switch Circuit Short To Ground
C1125: Brake Fluid Level sensor input Circuit Failure
ABS light is not on. Only light illuminated is the brake warning light.

Just a thought here, I had the Brake Warning light on my 2011 coming on after driving a few miles. It turned out to be to vacuum sensor on the brake booster. Might be worth checking!
