Dealers in Texas don't carry many 4x4s it seems. The price looks really nice till you realize it's a 4x2

BTW, you can't tune for performance and fuel economy - you can have one or the other (at least that's what I was told). So if you have tuned your truck for performance, your fuel economy is probably worse than my reliable 5.4L V8 - especially when towing 5000 lbs.
My tuned truck gets better mpg and way better performance! Not sure who told you that! Unless your WOT everywhere you get better mpg.

Totally agree. I experience the same thing.

WOT is the culprit. Stay off the floor and drive normal.

You guys need to come up to Wisconsin to sell your trucks. Prices here are ridiculous. I was at the dealer talking about a new 6.7 diesel and was offered $32,000 for my 2011 Lariat with 40,000 miles. It was very tempting, but prices on new vehicles are also through the roof here.

Just an example:
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1

My same setup I bought in 2011 was $39,000 out the door. A 2014 is priced at $52,000! Truck prices are getting absolutely ridiculous. That 2013 6.7 XLT was priced at $58,000. We have houses in town selling for $30,000 and less.

To answer the OP. I would go with the 2011 EB. Have had no problems with mine and love it. Specially the Supercrew with 6.5 box.

I had a 5.4 in an 05 F-150 for a short time. Leaky exhaust manifolds, bad cam phasers, VCT solenoid, the list goes on.

Which tuner are you using?

The mechanic at a "Classic Auto" place near me told me you can't tune for both so I didn't bother getting one.

Edit:

Example, this says it gets better fuel economy, but nothing for horsepower:

This one gets better power, but no fuel economy:

Please show me one that does both.
