Default heavy duty payload package

Hi all....

Does anybody here own one of the new F150's with the 8200GVWR package?

When it comes time to replace my toyota with a larger truck, I want to find one that is capable of carrying a 1500lb slide-in pop-top camper and towing a 2500lb boat/trailer. I only intend to haul the camper on a few weekends throughout the summer, but will be towing the boat regularly. On occasion I hope to do both at the same time. The truck needs to be an economical, comfortable, and efficient daily driver, and I can't afford the 3/4 or 1-ton diesels that are usually recommended for this application.

The HD payload F150 with an ecoboost engine and a supercab sounds about right. Based on my review of the numbers it is the only 1/2t pickup that will haul the camper and pull the boat within 'legal' payload. I considered adding airbags to other pickups, but this doesn't increase the legal payload, and I'd like to keep it all legal.

I would like to hear from others that own this truck, and what you think about it in terms of

a) it's ability to haul this weight over highways and rough forest roads
b) it's overall efficiency with those steep gears
c) it's driving comfort when unloaded

thanks in advance for your time...
