Heating the steering wheel is one of those fluffy options that won't sway people to GM or Dodge. That would be just stupid...that's why we have round vents that can point right to the steering wheel and heat it up when you remote start. Then it takes 2 minutes for your body heat to warm it up... Mindblowing!! Yeah, it would be a nice option but I don't see it as an absolute necessity. I'd rather have my heated seats that practically light my *** on fire..
It may not sway someone who has never experienced it but it is enough to keep me from switching to a truck that doesn't have it. Based on my experience, I would give up my heated seat before heated wheel. That might change with poor quality leather but I have real good leather. I went down to our local used car lot that specialises in high end newer vehicles. Had to check for myself, looked at 2011 Lariat and 2011 and 2012 King Ranch, no heated wheel.

Agreed, I prefer heated seats to a heated wheel... But to each his own...

So I'm curious then as to why you're a member here..if you don't own a ford and have no plans to own a ford until they add a heated steering wheel (may be 3-4 yrs), why did you join? Not trying to be bitter or condescending, Just curious..

I came here to learn. I have bought 3 new trucks in less than 5 years. If you take the time to read my earlier posts I assumed that the heated wheel was standard on the King Ranch and Platinum. I was wrong. I have a friend who sells Fords who is determined that I will drive a Ford next time. As I stated at the beginning, I couldn't find the answers on Ford.ca. I am simply on a fact finding mission. Since I joined I have spent at least 5- 6 hours a day reading these forums. Sorry for joining.

Honestly man not having the heated wheel is so minor...you get a great truck with ONE missing feature. You'd be stupid not to be deterred from a superior truck because of one tiny little thing! Get a heated steering wheel cover for it..But man that's picky thinking to buy an insuperior truck because of one tiny thing like that!! I couldn't do it in good conscience anyway..

+1^^ I have to totally agree. The F150 might not have a heated steering wheel but it does beat out all the other trucks in every category. Just turn the vents towards the wheel, that works better than any steering wheel heater. My wife has a 2012 model Cadillac SRX with a heated steering wheel but I never use it. She loves it but thats coming from a woman.

My dad came from an Escalade Platinum with all the goodies to a 2011 Limited AWD..sometimes he wishes he had the heated wheel like his Caddy did but he (And everyone else like him) agrees that the 150 surpasses the competition in every other way. That's such a nitpicky item..it's like the Tundra full-size rear window that rolls down..Yeah it's a nice feature but would I buy a Tundra because of it? God freakin' hell no!
