Ecoboost smoking???
Today I noticed some steam/smoke coming out of the grill of my ecoboost. It has been raining really hard all morning and I've been driving through it. I found a covered area to stop and pop the hood. No visible leaks (but remember its raining) and it seems to be coming from inside the radiator? Temp gague is right in the middle, slight coolant smell (very slight). Any ideas? Is this just from the moisture in the air or is this something to worry about?

This might not quite help, but going through a car wash when it was about 35-40 degrees outside smoke started pouring from my grill I instantly thought it was overheating so I pulled into a parking lot right next door, popped the hood and smelt like a little antifreeze and steam... gauges looked fine so I just drove it.
Still noticed it at the next couple stop lights but it eventually wore off so a safe assumption would be water just found something hot.

I as well have noticed that when water gets into where ever it does on the ecoboost steam comes from the rad and yup it does smell like antifreeze. I understand the steam but the antifreeze smell keeps me shaking my head.

Keepin' the lights on!
If the electric fans are not on and your not moving, so no air is getting pulled through the radiator that is wet from the rain or washing. The hotter air simply finds a way out. Add in moisture in the hotter air and you have steam coming from the grill.

I've noticed this happening on a sunny day with temps around 40-45. I found it odd cause it wasn't hot outside, nor was I ******* my truck. Traffic does weird things to vehicles. Gauges looked good so i don't worry about it too much.
