Default Heat Constantly Blowing On High - Drivers Side.. Please HELP!!

Hello Fellow F-150 Lovers,
I could really use some help here..
I drive a 2011 F-150 FX4; with dual zone cooling/heating..

Recently, the driver's side just started blasting the heat on high. I believe its some kind of heat sinc control behind the dash but I honestly am not sure (happened in my wife's Maxima years ago)..

Has anyone had this happen? Do you know the culprit and where its located?
All responses are greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Sounds like the d/s blend door actuator. There are videos on YouTube how to change it. Not sure if it is d/s or p/s, but one of them the dash has to come out to get to one of the bolts. Had a friend take his to the dealer for this repair to the tune of about $1500. The part is less than $50.

I should've mentioned.. It's the driver's side.. The passenger side still works perfectly; heat or A/C, fan speeds etc..

Yeah, with the dual zone a/c, you have a blend door for each side. Unlike the XLT and below that have the single zone with one blend door. These things are a common problem, they go out and the door is stuck in whatever position the actuator failed.

Thanks!
It is stuck on high with the heat blasting.. I cannot turn the heat off or slow the blower motor down.. Thinking it could be the resistor??
Any thoughts?

Try resetting the system by disconnecting the battery for a minimum of 15 mins.

Is it safe to assume now with these dual zones, that's it's not simply as easy as replacing the fan relay behind the glove box, like the 04-08's had?
At least for the fan speed anyways..

Good God... I think me & my significant other, who always likes her side 5 degrees warmer. Will have to find a happy medium.

Once these actuators fail, there is no happy medium. In the case of the OP, his is on high heat all the time on the DS. Only thing you can do to slow it down is close the vents. In 100 Deg summer weather, this would be quite miserable. The other side works as normal. I guess you could also point the left vent on the PS towards the driver to help as well.
