Default Heartthrob exhaust

I really hate to bring up old topics, but I've got a chance to score one of the exhausts for super cheap.
I'd like to hear some feedback from anyone who has one or has had one in the past. Do you still have it? Why or why not? Pros vs cons?
Btw it's #4004580 on their website and I have a 3.5 EcoBoost Screw

Sorry edited first post to reflect. I have an EcoBoost. Also, I already have an Air Raid cold air intake installed. Not sure if it makes a difference...

Cold air intake does make a slight difference in sound and my friend has the heart throb exhaust. It sounds pretty good I think especially with the down pipe.

One major con. Was the Aluminized will still rust. My muffler rusted out inside. I had weird sounds at different rpm's. When I pulled the exhaust to inspect it the muffler was pretty much falling apart inside. I DO NOT have it any more and put on a stainless works exhaust. Probably the best upgrade I have done.

Long story short, for exhaust go with the stainless steel option. Heartthrob does make that kit in stainless. #4404585

I have the hearthrrob but I got the stainless and love it. The best sounding v6 exhaust i have heard and seems to get half to a mpg better mileage.

Well unfortunately the one I've been looking at is aluminum.. Is there any way to minimize the chance of rust tearing through it?

The one you are looking at is aluminized. Not aluminum.
Look into it. It is steel with some anti corrosion properties. But in 2 years it will rust.
