Default Headrest

I learned something new today. On my truck, the headrest on both front seats are adjustable for tilt. I can pull them forward and they'll ratchet and adjust, or if I pull them all the way forward it'll release and make the headrest vertical again. I wish I had discovered that months ago. Lol.

Now typically some wise *** says something stupid right now.... It seems they've grown up or moved on.
It always nice discovering hidden features. Besides safety and being comphy, they look cool with a little forward angle to them.

Nice of Ford to make them adjustable. When the active head restraint requirements came out, many car headrests weren't adjustable (My '08 Accord for example). The headrests since they were set at an angle were uncomfortable for some owners. Unfortunately, the only solutions at the time were to turn the headrest around or get headrests out of an older model.

There are clearly some undocumented "hidden features" in our trucks, but this isn't one of them since it's in the manual.

For those that didn't buy the truck new and don't have manuals, the Ford site has PDF downloads of everything. I store them on my laptop, tablet, and phone for quick reference.

That's one thing my wife hates...those forward angled headrests. I understand that they are for whiplash protection, but geez she hates them. So now that I stumbled upon this feature, she'll be happy.

I don't know why, but this made me laugh. Heck, I didn't know they were adjustable either. I love this site!
