I have the same problem in my Platinum. You would think if they secured the dome light to the actual roof, it would hold up the headliner enough so the velcro would actually stick. I bought some glue today, we have TONS of velcro in our shop so I am going to glue a strip as long as I can in between the roof and the liner. Let it sit for a day and then hope for the best.

So....It happened again! After a year or so my headliner dropped back down. This is really starting to **** me off! The dealer fixed it about a month ago (for the second time) and it already fell back down. I put some commercial grade adhesive strips up there this time and it lasted me another week. But before you know it the thing dropped back again. What now??

I fixed mine Moody blue. I tried glue and stuff, it doesn't last. I went to pep boys ang got some of the black plastic push in trim pieces. Marked two spots on my headliner where the beam is just in front of my sunroof and drilled the holes. Pushed in the trim pieces and it hasn't budged since!!!

Awesome! That might be my next move. Dont understand how a truck made so well can have a simple issue such as the headliner coming unstuck. If you don't mind post some pics and maybe a simple how-to just in case others are interested in this fix

Just for reference, there is no TSB out on this for the 11's. My service writer told me he had to email the Ford engineering department and wait until they decided on a fix! Yeah, that was a month ago. Ridiculous

Default Tsb 10-19-03

I had my '09 in about a month ago for a leak and a drooping headliner. I thought maybe I had a leak around the sunroof and it warped the headliner, but it turned out to be a leaky third brake light. According to the work order, they replaced the brake light, "Performed TSB 10-19-03 Install Headliner Latches", and did the recall work for the door latch reinforcement - all under warranty. Headliner seems solid.

I had the same problem with the leak within the first few months of owning my truck. Headliner latches? I need to call my dealer and see about getting that done while its still under warranty.

My 09 went in for this three times...

First two times they replaced/added velcro which lasted about a day to a week...

After the second time when I called my Service guy I told them I would give them one more shot at it then I was going to fix it myself and they have lost my business.

In it went for the third time, they called Ford and got some special instruction and parts and put them in and I have not had a problem with it since.

Been about 5K miles now and no issues and my sunroof is open whenever I drive as long as it is not actually raining.
