Default Headliner Stain

I just noticed identical stains on BOTH rear corners of the headliner of my '09 Scab. The dreaded "third stop light" leak has been mentioned here many times and I always assumed it would appear in the center rear of the headliner.
There are 105,000 miles on the vehicle and it is garaged at least 90% of the time.
Any ideas on the source of my stains? BTW, they look much worse in the picture than in person.

I would still start with your third brake light. After I fixed my third brake light issue, I still had wetting of the passenger side corner. Mine was also leaking in the rear corner of the window somewhere. Had to have the window resealed. Been good for a year now.

Good luck!

That's exactly what mine was doing. I just put some RTV silicone on the edges and the screws and it hasn't happened since.

I have the same thing.........I removed the stains once had ford put in a new light. It was ok for a few months, now its starting leaking again. Silcone bought.

To remove the stain get some upholstery cleaner....I use Woolite with the plastic brush on top of the can, spray and scrub lightly and the stain will be removed
