Headlight Retrofit - Morimoto Mini H1 7.0
#12
Thanks! Inside the reflector bucket is satin and the outside bezel is gloss. Honestly, they looked exactly the same after I painted them lol. Also, once the lens is back on its really hard to see the details of the paint. I had some fairly major scratches in the buckets from not being careful enough when mounting projectors/shrouds/halos and I was considering repainting them. I'm definitely glad that I chose not to go through all the extra work because once the lenses are back on you can't see any of the flaws. So I really wouldn't worry too much about the paint underneath being perfect because you can barely see it anyway.

Looks awesome! This has been in the back of my head for a few weeks now and this write up really simplifies things! Did you have to trim the shrouds to clear the buckets?

You can kind of see the trimming in this photo.

The H1 ranks right up there with the FX-R output wise. You can't go wrong with any of them. The D2S is quite impressive and you get to run a standard bulb that has more options.
