Default For the DFW guys.....

Been looking at a 2013 FX4 and came across a sweet deal at Grapevine Ford. The internet guys have been friendly and helpful (e-mail correspondance). Bad part is I live between 3-4 hours away. Any luck with these guys? Every town has a shady car lot, and I sure hope Grapevine Ford isn't one of them. I would hate to make the long trip only to retuen empty handed.

Thanks,
Daniel

I had a great experience with Mike Craig Ford in Gilmer, TX, just 100 miles east of Dallas. My dad has been a Financial Analyst for For for 20 years and dealt with these guys for almost 10 years. They searched over 30 dealers for what I wanted and found my truck in Oklahoma. They picked it up the next day, brought it to Mike Craig Ford, tinted the windows and windshield. They delivered it to my house the next day here in Lafayette, LA by 10AM, I signed some papers, wrote out a little check, and drove off with my old ride! Top dollar trade, great seller communication, and fast and easy transaction!

Do NOT go to Randall Noe in Terrell, TX. They advertised their truck online and wouldn't stop calling me for 3 days straight asking when I was going to see the truck, I got there and the price some how went up over $10,000 from the Internet price and when I told them about the Internet price, they came out and the lowest they would go was $7,000 cheaper than Internet price, I was pissed, and after the manager told me I wouldn't find a better deal anywhere in TX, I went on or so minute drive west of that Rat hole Stealership to Town East Ford in Mesquite, they were way more helpful and there were way more people buying and looking for trucks there. I went to Randall Noe looking for 2012 STX, and I left from DFW area with a 2013 STX, with SYNC, Carpet, and Spray in Bedliner for about $3000 cheaper than they wanted for the 2012 at Randall Noe.

I have bought my last 3 trucks from 5 Star Ford in DFW. My neighbor bought two from the same place. However, they didn't exactly get the lowest price for his wife's Explorer and Grapevine Ford won their business. Another neighbor got his F150 from Grapevine Ford also. So I'm guessing they are as competitive as any other DFW area dealer.

On the other hand, a few years ago we were at the Nissan dealership across the street from the Grapevine Ford (Bankston Nissan) and they absolutely tried to pull a fast one on us. I'd say it teadered on illegally trying to steal from us - so I warn people to stay away from Bankston. Bankston also has a local Ford dealer.

I've heard good things about Grapevine Ford and almost went there but I also got my 2013 STX at Town East. Very good pricing and easy to work with. Their internet pricing was less than everyone else but once I talked to the internet sales they did tell me there was a 1295 "package" but that included the tint, spray in bed liner, wheel locks, glass etching, protectants, and 2 years of oil changes.

If you're in Moore OK, I am sure you know Bob Moore Ford can be a PITA. They love to harass you once they get your info.

My last truck was from Diffee in El Reno, and I'm currently working with them on my next one. They have beat everyone's prices straight out of the gate and gave me exactly what I expected for my trade. Highly recommend them. They will also search other dealers and pull from them as needed.

My dad and I have both bought our last two trucks from Grapevine. I'll probably only buy from them in the future. Ask for Dennis in new cars. I have no complaints.

I always read a bit about what to expect from a dealer here.
http://www.dealerrater.com/directory/Texas/Ford/

I set it to where it should show all dealerships listed with score & number of reviews.

Grapevine, Bankston FW, and another one down there (5-star?) all gave me lies, BS prices, and the run around when I tried to buy a raptor back in 2012, even gave them the benefit of the doubt and threw out an the opportunity to sell me an FX4, no dice. Beware of grapevine 'getting' you a line of credit, i never asked for that service as i already had financing secured, and they still submitted no less than 8 requests and pulled my credit 3 damn times. Even the GM didn't care when I called to gripe about that. Hopefully your in person experience is better than mine was on the net.

I HATE dealers, they all suck. I'd find an independent ford fleet sales rep and buy through them. No run around, easy on the price, and the customer service is top notch! That's what I did and after telling several family members and friends they also went that route and could not believe it was that easy... I won't ever deal with any dealer again... period.
