Default Headlight Bulbs

The question I am asking is I have HID's now and they don't cooperate - I'm just fed up with them - and I'm looking to go back to regular bulbs but still want the blueish look. I had blueish bulbs in my old 2005 that were 55w or 65w H13 nokya's and they burnt my wiring. I would like to get these or a different brand again but don't want to burn my wiring. Do the new trucks run more wattage than the old ones? Also, any recommendations of bulbs? I have fog lights also that im going to try and match my Headlights.

I dont know about your 05 but on the newer trucks the left and right hi beams are on seperate circuits and handle 65 watts easyly the standard h13 is a 55/65 watt bulb so as long as the new bulbs are no more than 65 watts it should not be a problem
