I didn't read all the post to see if this was brought up but the best thing I can tell you to do is bring the car seat to the dealer. Friend had a 13 Explorer and they have to have the front seats pushed up some so the seats don't hit the back if the front seat. There nice but smaller than they look. Looking to get my wife something new soon and from her research told me the Edge actually has more room between the front and back seats. This is due to it not having a 3rd row so the back seats are pushed back more.

Might even get her a Pathfinder, they seam to be very roomie!

Wifey drives a Toyota Sequoia. Both Explorer and Edge seemed too small.

Lots of room in the Supercrew, but definitely consider who is going to be loading the kid into the vehicle most of the time.

Definite difference in baby seat height between the two, and loading into the Supercrew could be a challenge for the wife.

Happy wife, happy life alrighty, with the exception of that one week a month where nothing makes her happy.

Grandma has an edge, the seats are most of the way forward and our three year old can still kick the rear of the seat. The edge is great, but car seats and growing kids are not working well together with it for the grandparents.

SCREW! I've got two boys and one on the way and researched this for weeks. Nothing comes close to having the room and utility. Truxedo bed cover on the back and a 2x12 in the slot in the bed and it's just like having a (giant) trunk.

my mom took my kids for a week when my son was 5 he's never kicked the back of any seat after that. but she was a drill sergeant in the army!
now my daughter on the other hand could do no wrong in my moms eyes and to this day still kicks my seat

My wife drives my SuperCrew fx4 frequently and loves the room it has. It took her a few days to get used to parking it, but she's fine now.

Buy her a new vacuum cleaner and throw in a new mop. As far as a vehicle, tell her to drive whatever you leave in the driveway.
