I just wanted to see if anyone here has had there transmission flashed. And if it solved the problems you were having? The dealer says they want to flash or reprogram my transmission because of it not wanting to down shift. Anyone have any experience if this works? Thanks for the help.

X2; same thing here with hard shifting and poor shifting at times. After reflash, good to go.

Mine was acting like it was missing once in a while going up long grades, had it reprogrammed or flashed a couple months ago and no problems yet. I don't think there's any downside to having it reprogrammed.

same here... although once in a blue moon the transmission will slip or i will get a hard downshift, but it's hardly ever.

the reflash made a world of difference.

Same here. Before it felt sloppy and made me not like my truck, but after the reflash it's so different and no problems. I'm happy

I took my 12 in for the first oil change and asked if they would update the transmission because of a shifting issue I was having. I was told that there were no updates available for my truck so they cleared the memory and did a reset so it would have to re-learn how I drive. The truck now drives much smoother and the down shift issue has disappeared.
