Default has it been done?

Ok, I've searched a few forms and really have came up with nothing on this...

So yesterday I went to get my exhaust done, and every shop I went to refused to do a true dual exhaust system from the cats back on my 2013 F150 5.0 RCSB. They all said the same thing, throws codes, blown up motors, blown up transmissions, etc, blah blah I think they are full of crap.

So does/has anyone have a true dual exhaust system on their F150, if so any problems with it, how long have you had it? Thanks k-bar

That doesn't make sense to me. I'm with you and would just do it myself.

I have a shop here in Shreveport that'll do true duals. They said they've done them in the past...no issues. I'm still going to get it done (gotta wait until after Xmas for funds). Going to run 2 1/4" with an X-Pipe with Borla XR1 mufflers (running a single Borla XR1 now & love it) should sound pretty sweet!

I'm certain there will be an indemnification clause somewhere in their paperwork, very fine print, to hold them harmless if something does happen. After all we are a litigious society. LOL

Yeah is doesnt make sense to me either. I think this guy had been cutting out the cat, that's the only thing that would make sense to me.

Because if you but an x where the y is at then run those into the muffler, I don't see how it would mess anything up. I think it is becuase he is too lazy.

I previously had a 2013 RCSB stx with the 5.0 and true dual flowmaster 40's. About 20,000 miles with the exhaust and never had any problems.

As pointless as unequal length dual pipes are....they won't hurt anything. The shop is a bunch of idiots ( I swear most are) and just find another one somewhere else.

YES ABSOLUTELY!!! I have true dual on mine, no codes, no issues, but the reason is....factory cats and oxygen sensors are untouched. Factory Y pipe had to be cut to split the pipes into two - But yes, no issues, just very very VERY VERY VERY loud.
