Default Has anyone heard or have experience with the Tesla style display head unit?

I'm sure in the minority but I actually really like MFT. It does what I want it to do. But I came across this yesterday on here:

https://phoenixandroidradios.com/col...-150-2013-2014

And I think it looks cool. When funds allow for it I would like to eventually do this upgrade because it's definitely different.

I haven't heard of this company and who knows how many bugs are in it, but I couldn't really find any reviews. Also not sure how it would affect my hill descent control considering there is no button for it, not that I use it anyways.

Anyone have any information on this product? It's a lot cheaper than a Sync3 upgrade.

Website looks very sketchy and for only 800 dollars I wouldn't trust it.

Requested info from my local installer and the mfr., specifically want to know about massage seat functions with this unit. Will update here when I hear anything.

Looks cool but I'd be wary.. Not that much cheaper than the Sync3 upgrade from TexasFording. Going to do the Sync3 upgrade soon myself and as cool as this looks I wouldn't trust it.

Seems like several functions would be missing. it sounds like a straight up tablet install. But, interesting. Maybe for the lower end radios, not Sync2? Seems like it would include 2015 trucks.

Tablet install:

Uhm, no they wont! You will be sorry. Great idea but its not as fluid in function as it looks. They are still working out bugs. You WILL lose ALOT of your functions...You will retain NOTHING sync. You've been warned.
On a side note, beautiful truck. You bought a show truck that was used at SEMA?

Keep this thread up to date with your results please... this looks very interesting but I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. (I got burned by a cheap chinese android head unit in another car before.)
But visually, this tablet looks stunning in the F-150.

Yes my MAD F150 was at SEMA in 2014 at the Ford booth and in 2015 at the LEER booth really love the truck but the audio components, although high end Focal components, were installed as an after thought.

Making some changes to the install and looking to change out the factory head unit with a Tesla style display as well...still doing my due diligence as the LinksWell component is also on the short list.

Appreciate your insight BGG as you seem to have quite a bit of experience with these trucks
