I think the solo downpipe will give me just the right amount of sound. Don't think I will ever go full on exhaust.

Think I struck a nerve with you jcain.
My dad is a lienholder on the truck. I screw up, it's gone. Ever hear of a parent to child lien? Maybe you should think before you start talking sh*t.
Can a mod come in here and clear some BS please, I'd like to keep this thread about my truck and not about my financial situation.

Banks or lenders don't like first timers. If your parents put their name on it and you're paying for it- that's just security for the lender. Good on ya. Now, if your parents had just bought it outright and handed you the keys, different story

What do you do money wise to make your payments? Because if you work a job to pay your payments I'd give hats off to you. If you pay the payment out of a 2000 dollar a month "allowance" that's another thing. I had nice things as a kid but I worked damn hard for them. I gather from previous posts you live in heritage pointe, nice place, if your house was built by Shane or Cidex then I did the basement for it. From 4 years old until I chose a different career path after high school I went to work with my dad every day there wasn't school, and the occasional school day. Although that limited my personal life greatly, it also instilled A great work ethic that has propelled me to a job far greater than my age.

You don't owe anyone an explanation man. I'll be helping my kids buy their first vehicle... Gone are the days of the old $500 junker that can be easily fixed up like when I was a kid.

I think it's perfectly justifiable. It's no different than a bank loan, except my family is the bank in this situation. I'll admit I'm not paying the full price of the truck, but it's definitely a substantial amount.

There's far too many serious accidents on my rural area backroads to be driving a beater at my age anymore. It was my parents' idea to get the truck as it's a tank (Nearly killed in a crash near my school a couple years ago with a couple friends) and great in the snow. I, of course, agreed. They are not one to just hand over the keys. They did that twice with my brother and it did not end well. There was a kid at my high school who's parents bought him a Raptor outright and he ended up getting drunk at a party and rolling it 6.5 times. And yes, they bought him another one. Some people, man.

Now, back to the point of this thread which is your build, not your finances.
