Default Hard working truck

Lots of problems listed, and yes mine's had then too, but what a worker. I needed to take a skid loader, 6,000 # machine from near Pittsburgh to Carlisle on the PA turnpike for evaluation. The turnpike is a challenging road to begin with, but I was topping hills at 70mph, and easily could have done faster. Total gvw, 15080#, yes overloaded.

I drove this truck off the lot Dec 30, 2011, 186,200 miles later, it's still reliable and a worker. Changed the oil regularly, Valvoline but mostly fomoco did it. Timing chain and exhaust manifolds, carrier bearing... This past weekend the starter.

On the scale at the end of the day!
Been there done those. Cab corners are rusting even after Zbart rust proof. Mrs. Says I can't get a new one until 300,000... I bet it will make it, if the rust doesn't get it first!!

Meh, I had a 2002 Explorer I sold with 189k miles on it, changed oil regularly, and spark plugs once.
Two hubs (wheel bearings) Never changed tranny fluid or transfer case fluid.
That was it, and was running good when sold to kid.

You have to remember, this is pretty impressive for a modern F150. It isnt like the old days where 300k was no problem. These new trucks just aren't built for that.

Meh, I had a 2004 F150, replaced the oil and the right rear blinker light - that was it. Now has 220K on it. :P

lol there are 273 2009+ trucks for sale on auto trader right now with 200,000+ miles (some with 300,000)

I would say they are the most reliable than they have ever been, or at least just as reliable....
