Default Hard shift question

Hopefully I didn't miss this question asked elsewhere, but I've been noticing my 2010 XLT 4x4 4.6L shifting hard with moderate acceleration on freeways every now and then. This is usually when accelerating after having to slow down for another car/being cut off/etc. Does anyone have an explanation? Should I be worried?

Thanks in advance.

Alright, thanks for the replies yall. I have another question for the sake of thread recycling.

After the engine has been running a little while I can start to hear a light, but fast paced clicking noise coming from under the hood. By just eyeballing it I couldn't determine the source. It almost sounds like an electric clicking. Any ideas? Again, should I be worried/get it checked out?

Same problem on another 2010 FX4 5.4L.

I took it in and they apparently did a PCM update which is supposed to get rid of the problem. Hasn't re-occured yet, but in general the transmission feels like a piece of crap, and is sluggish at changing gear, especially when hammering down.

I think the are working so hard to get every tenth of mpg out of these things the customer experience is suffering. I think today's automatics are upshifting way too soon now days.

I think my 2011 EB feels way better when driven in tow/haul mode.

It might be the injectors they tend to make a ticking sound...

This is my biggest problem.... i love this truck but the noises are just too annoying and embarressing..clicking and clunking and on a slope uphill the truck makes these "humming" sounds at about 1-10 mph .....and i already had a bunch of parts in my trans replaced at 3,000 miles !!!
