Hard 1-2 shift at low speeds
I have a 2011 5.0 I just picked up with 60000 miles. It has the famous hard 1-2 shift at low speeds when cold or after sitting a few minutes. Feels like other people have described as being rear ended. Has a fix been found yet?

When I upgraded my wheels and tires, I had to get a tuner to change the speedo. I then played with the shift points and shift firmness. It has completely taken the hard 1-2 shift away.

you adaptive learning transmission, disconnect the battery and drain residual voltage. clean the battery posts while you are it, when you hook it back up it will go to factory default.

I did this a few times, but the harsh shifting always returned. It wasn’t till I used a tuner to soften up the shifts did the problem not return. I drove that way for a thousand miles or so.
