The whole reason I tried ONR was due to water spots. With ONR, you wash one panel (or even a section of a panel) at a time and dry. No spots. No dribbles. You can wash inside the garage to avoid the sun, too. With kids it's great too, as inevitably I get interrupted at some point and I can just dry off the section I'm working on and come back and finish the rest later.

I bought a spot free water rinse machine from Costco. I use it for my final rinse and I have not had an issue with spots since. It was a little expensive and have only used it a few times but I love it. I am no detail expert by any means so I may have wasted $400 in some peoples mind but, it saves me a ton of time.

That "Mr. Clean" car wash kit works really well. It has a filter in it. I still shammy it dry though. But you don't have to.

+2. I don't use this product for water savings. I use it because it is a time saver, no water spots, can do inside of garage in winter, adds some gloss and is cheaper than most car wash shampoo's and same as the base standard (about $0.50 for 3 gallons of wash):

Meguiar Gold Class Shampoo - $10 1/2 gallon, 1 oz/gallon dilution

ONR - $40 1 gallon, 1 oz/2 gallon dilution

I bought a truck. And I bought a white one. Water spots? I wash her down in the quarter car wash and drive home on the freeway at 80 mph. This ain't no red Ferrari!

Just sayin'...

Works amazingly well actually. I use one everytime before a car show.

I've never heard of the ONR and in doing some research there are a LOT of good reviews....but there is NO WAY Im washing my dirty car/truck with something like that.

It just goes against everything I've ever been taught about washing/detailing.
