Default Hah! Got my window sticker today!

Some of you may recall... my order for my '13 has been a little slow to get going. Two months to get assigned production and a VIN.

Last week I got confirmation from Ford Canada on my schedule... Built by Feb 11, Delivered by March 4th.

I got my window sticker today! It's exactly what I wanted (which makes sense, it's a spec order )

The end is neigh!

Congrats on the Window Sticker, boy there is a definite cost diff from US to Canada. Plus I want to know how does your sticker state 20 city and 29 highway. Did I read this incorrectly? If that is true mileage then I need to purchase a Canadian F150..

Nope... Transport Canada "claims" 20/29 MPG... It's highly unlikely though.

As for the cost difference, it's painful, especially when the dollar is at par like it's been for so long now.

The longest wait is just after you order that new truck!

Only regret I have is that I didn't get a Lariat - Leather may be easier to deal with given the mud and dust this one will see. Also the cooled seats would be nice in the summer.

How difficult would it be to cross into the US and buy a truck there? Seems like you would save enough money to make it well worth the hassle.

You mean there is no factory cam! Where you can watch your truck being built? Just kidding would be nice though. Your telling me Canada says this truck will do 20/29 and there advertising this on there stickers, no wonder why Fords are #1 seller in Canada. Of course i would be pissed if i only got the 15/21 as advertised in USA. There must be slower burning gas in Canada to get the extra 5 to 10 miles per gallon,, LOL!! Enjoy your new truck!

It's easy enough to do, I was in the automotive world in 2006-2007 when the Canadian dollar was above par to the USD. There's a 48-hour hold of the vehicle at the border and that's it.

OEM's got wise to it and now won't honour warranty claims on a US-sourced vehicle. This is why window stickers now say "This vehicle not intended for sale or registration in US".

You can do it, but you're buying a brand new vehicle without a factory warranty. Sometimes it's worth it, like when I can buy a Harley with 2000 miles for 60% of one in Canada.
