Default Had to share this!

Looking through the classified ads that I do for my local dealer, I found a guy that's selling his new limited wheels and tires for $5,000. He says they are $10,000 for a set of 4, brand new from the dealer. He's selling them at "half price". I laughed out loud, for a very long time. Took a snapshot of the description for you all to see.

Then I did some real research:

Ford parts: 22" polished wheel - set of 4 - $1,416.52
Tire rack: set of 4 OEM Pirelli Zero tires 275/45/R22 is $908 plus shipping.

Then i went on Ebay:
22" Polished Wheels for F-150 and Expedition

Did you reply to his ad and correct him? I'd find it hard to resist ;-)

Didn't yet, because on that site you can get banned if you send a reply not pertaining to an interest in that ad. And I can't get banned from that site otherwise ill lose my job haha

Still might do it with a proxy, because I know what he's trying to do. If there's anyone stupid enough to pay that money for them,
He'll just go and buy another set for way cheaper.

I do believe that fords msrp for one wheel is $1750 for the 2011 wheels not the 2013's. I've gotten 1 quoted from ford with my friends discount at $850. The tire retails for $300. With caps and lugs I do believe that a set of 4 2013 tires rims caps and lugs will be near 10k from the dealer if your stupid enough to buy them there and not ask for a discount.

And don't forget the $600 worth of stems and sensors. At ford prices.

The eBay guy is about par for a set of takeoffs with some use. I've purchased a set of takeoffs with no use for near that and resold for more.

I don't believe ford has their rims priced as a set of 4. They are individually priced. And I believe the 1400 you are referring to is the online discounted price and not the msrp.
