Had the 'moan in park' TSB done - trans temp too low now?

When they replaced mine they said they had to drop the trans pan to replace it. I don't know if that is true but that is what I was told. Dropped mine off in the morning and picked it up late that afternoon. When I initially took it in I had a hard time convincing them that the low temp was a problem. Their so called trans specialist that replaced the pump and seal said " you're one of the lucky ones with a low temp." He didn't even know what temp is normal so he went out and drove a new one off the lot for 10 miles. He came back and said "I guess you're right. Unbelievable!!! Can you imagine the damage that would be done to your engine by driving your truck during the winter with an engine coolant thermostat stuck open. Well it would be the same for your trans.

However the transmission had not been the same ever since. I am taking it back in after Christmas vacation for them to take a look at it.

An incorrectly sized hole in the separator plate, the noise you hear is the hydraulic fluid being forced thru a smaller hole and vibrating the whole separator plate.
I was told that it does not hurt anything, just very annoying. The fix is to replace the separator plate, with a redesigned one with a correct size hole. But that requires taking the transmission apart to do it, so there is always a risk of them damaging something else in the process, like the did on mine!

When I went out to get it the temp game was 185 but started dropping and by the time I was home, about 13 miles it was down to 122 again. I was told that if I had seen 190, it was a new tight transmission or something was wrong with it. Mentioned that this is my 3rd F-150 with this transmission and the prior two ran 190 or so and this one did until the TSB.

Tim may think that what he is telling you is factual but he is wrong and he is obviously not a qualified knowledgeable F150 transmission mechanic. The other scenario is he's trying to bluff his way through because he doesn't have a clue and he's intentionally lying his *** off!!!!! I would take it to another dealer and /or contact your regional Ford rep. Like I posted earlier in your thread I'm speaking from experience.

So the 'road test' was 2 miles and it stayed 140-150 during that time after being 'loaded'.
Anyone knpow how they 'load' it?

Tim monitored the TRAMS TEMP LOADED TRANS (whatever that is)! he was supposed to monitor the Transmission temperature under load!
Either Tim does not know what he is talking about or he needs to go back to grammar school!
