GY Silent Armor vs. Cooper AT3
as stated trying to decide between these 2 tires. 11 fx4 crew 5.0. down to these 2 as the seller has great service and is limited to a few manufacturers.
i am looking for something better than the stock pirellis. i live in upper midwest so want something decent in the snow. i tow a boat total around 5k lbs. i like the XL load rating on the at3's. 50% of miles are commute to work and back on hwy. i do go off road but only hunting so nother major.
dealer said the GY's are better in the snow. they are about $100 more for the set.
any suggestions would be appreciated!

I was in the same pickle. I went with B'stone Deuler Revo2 cuz my tire store didnt have the GY aromor. But, I read a ton of good stuff about the coopers. They look great too-and made in the USA. most GY and B'stone made in canada, Nitto is owned by Toyo, Falken made in Thailand etc. if that stuff matters.
But, the GY Silent Armors I hear don't wear very fast and they are snow rated. the Coopers are not

On looks alone I'd go with the Coopers.

Check out the Goodyear Wrangler Authority tires, I read the reviews and they all pretty much show people happy with them. I just ordered a set the other day so hopefully I'll get them soon.
I was looking at the Coopers before deciding on these.

I got the 275/60/20 AT3's from discount tire for $641 when they had a couple rebates a few weeks back. Great tires so far, way way better then the scorpions in every aspect and little if any road noise too. Haven't had any snow yet here in the northeast so i cant comment on that.

Just drove from Wisconsin to South Carolina with my brand new Cooper A/T3s. 10 deg cold/snow to highway to mountain to rain to sleet to 50 deg. They worked awesome! I've got 275/79/18 they fit with lots of room, very little road noise. All around very happy with them.

did these fit ok? assuming they do. also any idea how much an inch taller tire will effect spedometer and power?

As for the rake with the level, RAS will solve that.
