That is why you train with your weapon, muscle memory will take over in tense situations.

I also don't live in the ghetto but you never know, just look at the Colorado incident, they didn't live in the ghetto.

It's all about training and muscle memory. In tense situations you will revert to what you know best, that is why the special forces hammers their candidates in the dirt. When it hits the fan they will stay cool and rely on muscle memory and training.

For long road trips, the 'Safepacker,' is a quick access gun packer of sorts that attaches to your seatbelt and lays right across your belly or chest. Completely concealed, comfortable, and quick access. When you go in somewhere and you don't want to take it with you, just pull it off your seat belt, drop it in the center console and lock it.

This is what I do. ButI have a Kydex set up and my pistol is turned in the other direction as I have a right handed holster.

So, I don't mind carrying under the dash like this-Plus If I have to get out of the car for anything my wife has access to it but she usually carries her own so I don't need to worry as much.

Nice! i wanted the OD green, but i couldnt find it anywhere. i coulda ordered it and got it within a week or so, but once i held it, i knew it was coming home that day lol... love that laser/light combo. is yours the compact? lets see some the pictures.. I wouldnt trade my XDM for anything. I dont know how many rounds i've shot through mine, but its gotta be right around that as well and not the slightest problem....the holster i used is a cheap $6 walmart holster made for airsoft guns. i had to add some material when i added the light. Its not the prettiest thing, but gets the job done. hell i havent even looked, they might make a cheap airsoft holster that'll hold it.

yes the console locks, but i dont always leave it in there. it only stays in the console during the day. when i get home it goes in the house....this was before i got my concealed carry permit, now it stays at the house for home protection. just picked up a kahr p380 for carry during the summer, and im gonna carry the .40 in the winter. i'll throw the .40 in the truck if im going out of town or get the urge.
