Few questions guys...
1. Does removing the block cause any ride difference?
2. By lowering the truck/back end, will there be any mpg differences?
3. Are there any benefits to doing the shackles over the blocks?
4. Besides looks, are there any benefits/drawbacks to lowering just the back end?
Thanks!

2. If any, very little
3. Not that I know of. However removing blocks won't cost you money for parts
4. Easier to get into your bed and you can still tow.
I just had my blocks removed before I went with a full Belltech kit and had no issues with anything and still towed a boat (3500lbs with trailer) without the back end sagging down and looking stupid.

I don't see any difference from adding the shackle vs removing the rear blocks. Going to get the same look. And one is free. Rear shackle 4x4 drop is 1 1/2 inch remove rear block 4x4 is 1 3/8

When I did mine, I jacked up the rear of the truck, put it on jack stands, supported the rear end with a floor jack, then I loosened the u bolts, lowered the rear end enough to pull the blocks out, jacked the rear end back up snug to the spring packs, tightened the bolts back up, put the truck back on the ground and checked the u bolts again.
