Where did you get that grille ^^^^
I've seen this statement before...that is why I have insurance. It would be covered under comprehensive with no deductible.

Nice!
Mind explaining how you installed it? Does it move around or were you able to secure it?

Nope, I can smack it with my hand and it doesn't move. It's wired in with stainless steel wire because I didn't have zip ties handy, but it's actually pretty sturdy.
Two wires on top through the holes in the bumper where the tag holder bolts in.

Two wires on the bottom in the slots where the tabs of the tag holder pop in. You can slide wire or zip ties between the plastic bumper cover and the bumper itself on the bottom so they are not visible.

Run your wires or ties through the mesh on the bottom of the back side where it's not visible and tighten up.

It's actually galvanized screen for your gutters, it's where the gutters are at HD. It comes in strips 6" wide by about 4' long, perfect size. I cut some off the ends to make it easier to put into place. If it gets damaged, pull it out and put in a new piece, cheap to fix.

This cost all of $4 at home depot, cheap mod and looks much better IMO.

I'm under 25 so I still get a little screwed on insurance. I don't want to be paying more per month for insurance than my truck. I think I'm going to invest in a clean looking billet grille and get it PTM with my sterling grey eventually. Or just buy a black one to match the "breadloafs".

P.S. My truck just got keyed the other day too so I get to fix that first Right down to the metal...

My 30 dollar grill insert off amazon the bottom fits into the slots for the center mount license plate bracket and the top uses the holes the license bracket was in as we'll, no drilling, 30 dollars, clean. Can't beat it

Picked a scrap piece of screen off the ground at my buddy's house after he had his gutters replaced so it didn't cost me a dime.

Thank you.
I'm going to try this over the weekend.
Is plasti-dip the right choice if I want to paint it black?

Apparently it can be bought in black, per one of the previous posts. I was going to spray mine black with rustoleum, thought I'd try this first. You could plasti-dip it as well I guess.

For my 2010 XLT I bought an egg crate fluorescent fixture cover , painted it black, cut it to size and wire tied it in. Looks like it came from the factory!

Portion cut from a Raptor bumper.

Silver is now black.
