I'm looking for ideas on a grill mounted light bar(s). Share you pics of what you have done. It would be great to see what you guys have done to your trucks!

I just mounted this Morimoto 36" x-torch light bar. I made my own mounts then bolted the supplied mounts to the ones I made. Where did you get the steel you made the bracket out of? I'm about to mount up a Morimoto in the same spot this coming weekend. I have the X.Bar 30 that is basically three 10" sections.

I got the steel from a local welding shop. I think it's 3/8 flat stock or 1/8 flat stock will work. I unbolted the grille bump stops then you have to modify the bump stops a little. If you can see in the picture I had to cut the side off of the base of the bump stops so my homemade mount will fit. Then you just bend the mount (put in a vise hit with heavy hammer) test fit to see if the light centered in that bottom gap of the grille. Your gunna want to test fit everything while you fab up these mounts to make sure they are symmetrical and to ensure your light is where you want it.

Yep lol my light bar got stolen off my SUV so figured maybe if can't see the mounting bolts my grille won't get ripped off and it made it easy to hide the wiring and is sturdy.

Definitely should be strong enough, good idea.
I can't tell, is that the 6 bar grille?

I squeezed a 30" Rigid SR2 behind mine.

I flattened out the included mounts and drilled a couple holes. I also cut off some tabs on the grille to get the bar as close to the grille as I could.
