Grill Change
I'm interested in changing out my 2012 Lariat grill for the 2013 look. Anyone done this before? Is it something that is tough to do?
Thanks!

All grills are interchangeable. From 2009 to 2013 except the Raptor grills. I swapped from the 2010 3 bar grill to a 2011 King Ranch grill. Very easy to do. Just have to watch out not to break the plastic tabs on the top.

Like he said, be careful with the plastic clips. Also if you do break off a clip, be sure to pull it out carefully with plyers. Don't let it fall down inside the hood.
All are interchangeable; I just put a 10' FX4 Grill on me 11' XLT

By the way, if you're looking to go towards black and don't want to spend too much, I'm getting rid of my old grill (All black, 12' XL Grill) Ford oval included. 120 + shipping.

Thank you all for your input. As JLonsinger2011 said, I am looking for a 2013 grill, preferably a chrome one. I have a 2012 Lariat Grill now and would be willing to exchange if someone has a '13.

In Dale we trust.
Not sure where you live but if there is a Harbor Freight around you, apparently they sell some nylon pry bars that are magical and you can get the grille off with no broken tabs, but as I said they don't really matter lol

BTW.. The 2 OUTER MOST clips DO matter... they hold in two of the six mounding nuts... but hey if you get 50% of the nuts on I'm sure it will stay, guess it depends how thorough prefer to be.
