GREAT deal for Pop and Lock PL8250....tailgate power lock
Amazon is currently selling the Pop and Lock for the F150 at the lowest price I've seen it...............$77.51 with free shipping.
Thanks to all the posts here about this, I know the color of wires to splice into and that it will install with no problem for those of us with the step and pole.....thanks, folks!

Price deserves to stay on the first page for a while longer.....TTT (stands for "to the top on another forum to which I belong....I'd like to see it used here too.)

So how hard are these things to install (is this a 2 hour DIY job)? Some of the reviews complained of incorrect wire colors in the instructions.
Does the tailgate lock and unlock with your doors when you lock/unlock your truck from the factory key fob?

Lots of wiring info available on this site, I got the right wires at the BCM from a wiring diagram I have. I'll post it later on.

Glad I could help....sharing info like this on a forum as active as this one is why I am a member. Then again, those who go before you and share their install info is even better.....

Here are the wiring diagrams I used for the install on my 2012.
If you wire this way, it will allow the 2 press unlock feature. (first press is driver door only, second press is all doors & now the tailgate) If you have it turned on in your dashboard setting screen.
If these aren't big enough, clicking on them should give you a better view.

Here you can see the C2280D harness connector and how I tapped into the two wires with scotch locks.
It's tight up in the foot well, but do-able with a bit of patience and a good flashlight. There is a grommet through the floor under the passenger carpet that you can use to get the wiring under the truck. I wired from the tailgate forward and cut the excess right before I did the scotch locks.
