Great Customer Service at Sames Ford, Corpus Christi
Just had to get on here and let everyone know that James (our customer service rep) at Sames Ford, Corpus Christi, TX may have saved our son's life.
I took his 2014 F-150 XLT S-Crew 3.7L in for its normal service interval oil change and tire rotation. When I began to drive it, it felt like the bearings in the steering head were grinding so I asked him how long it'd been doing that. He told me that the truck had always felt that way (we bought it new in 2015) since he got it. This is his 1st truck and he just thought that trucks are more industrial and that this grinding/binding feeling was normal.
I explained this to James who had his steering specialist look at it right after the oil change. He found a brake line improperly installed during manufacture (the frame clip had been installed upside down and the brake line had been bent down to "clip in" which caused it to be misaligned). The brake line was rubbing on the steering shaft and had created a flat spot where it had nearly rubbed through.
James immediately ordered a replacement which was supposed to be in the next day, but the delivery driver didn't deliver the line until too late in the day to have it installed and bled down so he put us in a rental for a day.
His response to this situation was completely professional and I truly appreciate how he went out of his way to keep us updated.
I've already given Deysha (the Ford Service rep on here) this info and she is going to contact the dealership to provide kudos. I will also when my customer service survey comes in, I just wanted to put this out there for others that might be looking for good customer service in Corpus Christi or the surrounding area.
