Updated pic. Clamp is there. Doesn't seem like the boot is torn anywhere. But seems to be seeping from the clamp area. So does the clamp need to replaced or the whole unit since its lost a little grease? I've only had 2wd trucks before this one so forgive my ignorance

You may just need to keep an eye on it.

If there is no tears in the boot you may be fine.

I think eventually it will need addressed.

Just keep an eye on it, did you flex the boot a bit because it could be a very tiny split, it don't take much when centrifugal force is trying to push grease out. Clean it up real good with spray brake cleaner and dab a little RTV silicone gasket maker (black) or any color except clear and let it cure over night before driving. I wouldn't go thru the trouble of pulling the axle out and apart just for that little bit.

Try and twist the boot. See if its loose. If so you can get the clamps at auto store or use a heavy thick zip tie. And do the silicone thing as was stated. But if you're hearing a grinding crunching than 1 of your IWE might be stuck locked in.

Thanks for the help guys
And I'll recheck it here soon and flex the boot some more. I tried twisting and it felt snug but I'll do that again as well.
There's a decent bit of grease thrown out but I'm probably gonna get the differential oil changed soon and let a professional look at it. But for now I'm gonna do the clean and RTV

As far as the grind it's at slow speeds (5-20 mph). Only when slowing down but not necessarily braking. That could very well be apart of this problem. I have done a rough check of the IWE and seemed free in 4x2.

Edit: drove to town and looked back and the clamp is in a different position than when I left. So I'm thinking its spinning when it's not supposed to... This is why I had avoided 4x4s ha
