Grabbed Wrong Oil - Options?

depends on climate. 10w30 is perfectly acceptable in warmer climates.
a quote from castrol's website
"Switching from a 10W–30 to a 5W–30 during the winter months might be required if the vehicle is operated in an area that typically sees the thermometer dip below the zero mark"

This holds true for older engines, not with today's new tight tolerances. If the oil takes to long to get into bearings, well we all know what happens then.

Friend came by and got me. Picked up another 5 Quart container from Wally World. All is well. I decided not to be a guinea pig of using 10W30 or driving low.

new engines eh? well that's the new 5.0 for you, both boss and regular gt flavors in a fairly comprehensive oil analysis listing for different brands and weights.
