Default Got hosed by dealership on bilstein install

Guys I am begging for some help. I dropped truck off at dealership this am got a call that they couldn't get top perch off factory shocks I told them I knew they would come off with chisel and force. They called and said okay got them off no problem until next call saying truck was in pieces and that bilstein wouldn't fit on truck they said bilsteins were much smaller diameter than factory shocks and just slid through struts or springs I said that doesn't seem right they said I was missing a plate to make them fit I argued no that wasn't the case they said yep won't work so they put old shocks back on and charged me 240 for labor. can anyone offer help with pictures install link anything I don't know enough to explain how to make them mount up but think they didn't know where to mount the top and what to bolt them to in order to hold or maybe I am missing something any assistance would be great I want to be armed with info when I fight the argument that there lack of knowledge shouldn't mean I get screwed

They didn't get the job done you brought it in for I dont see why you owe them anything. And if they can't figure out how to install Bilsteins I'd sure as hell find a different dealer to perform ANY work your truck.

I am just trying to get over the fact you took it to the dealership for the install.

Stealership wouldn't be my first choice however some people suggest that the benefit to having them do the install is it may be harder for them to deny a warranty claim down the road.

I was thinking dealership for warranty protection but they dropped the ball said on the phone they had done lots of spacer levels. I did tell them third setting and they had moved the snap ring to right setting. Is the spring perch taken off factory shocks in addition to the piece on top of shocks? I think my best bet is to provide them something to assist with another try before calling credit card to dispute charge. Any close up pictures available?
Thanks for help so far
