i don't have experience with duratracs... but I do have experience with Nitto Trail grapplers (too damn loud) and now Terra Grapplers - 85mph and they're silent on the freeway! love them! haven't had snow yet, so won't know. took truck into our Rio Puerco (deep sand) and the Terra's kept me afloat very well!

So will the Duratracs will do very well in the south Texas mesquite country? In case anyone is wondering Mesquite is a tree that produces thorns that fall and will definitely pretty much puncture regular ply tires. I have OEM Wrangler SRA's with exactly 20,000 on them. They are slick. Rotated at 10,000. Looking to replace with Duratracs. I want to reach out to someone who has kept the Wrangler SRA's and have gotten poor longevity as well but have gotten a lot better with the Duratracs. Just wanting to make sure because I feel it is too much money to spend for only 20,000 miles. I have the 275/65/R18. Also I very seldom drive off-road but still want an semi aggressive tire. I have a friend with the Trail grapplers running sub 30lbs per tire. He says the middle wears out to fast if inflated with higher pressures. Is anyone experiencing this. I do know the middle of my SRA's are slicker but just a bit more than the rest of the tire and I keep about 38 psi in the SRA'S

I couldn't say for sure if they would hold up, but from m understanding the Duratracks have thinner side walls than other major AT's out there. So, there could be a potential for them to fail in that regards. This is one of the reasons they are not all too popular with rock crawlers.
