Sweet truck and I too am on the fence with a trade-in for a F250. I would go the 6.2 route as well. What I find remarkable (around here) the dealer cant keep the 6.2's on the lot and they sell fast yet they got like 15 Diesels they cant sell. Not to bright of dealers to not buy more 6.2's and less 6.7's. Good luck with you new truck!!

How does it drive compare to your f150 as for steering.

I have a 2010 f150 platinum no problems with it. it was in the shop for an oil change while waiting i test drove a used 2012 f250 lariat with the diesel total different feel to me. like the steering better. 39488 bottom price with 50k & it a Ford Cert. so it comes with the 7/100 miles warranty or they have another one with 53k that is a 6.2l gas for 34000

what do you think?

still might keep the f150 and have the steering check out the f250 seem easy

Not sure how true that is but the 6.2L will be able to handle the trailer we are looking at and I got a smoking deal on this one, couple thousand below invoice. It's been sitting on the lot for 300 days and they wanted it gone.
Yea they say diesels don't like the short trips so much. They get much better mileage though so price of fuel may be closer to a wash. I just traded my 150 for a 350 Platinum 6.7 and its sweet. Super dutys are awesome. Diesels are so much more fun to drive, I get about 19mpg At 70mph. Can't Wait to delete emissions and get a tuner, should get well over 20 then! Gets 23-24 At 55mph, no joke! What do you get on the highway? Got a buddy with a 6.2 gmc 2500 and he gets a solid 12, 14 on a good day lol!

Nice truck, but you're not saving money on gas. Sound nearly identical to what I get out of my 5.0.

You definitively have improved your hauling and towing though!

Report back after your EGR delete. Let us know what mileage you get then. Enjoy the new truck. It's a good looking ride!

I much prefer the steering on the SD than my f150. While I loved my F150, I absolutely love my F250. I only got 1200 miles on it so not even close to being broken in yet. Lifetime on my F150 I got 13.6 MPG city. So far I'm averaging 11.8 MPG. Still stock at the moment. This engine loves to drink! No regrets at all upgrading to the F250.

Yea I was referring to the mpg difference between the SD 6.2 gas and the SD 6.7 diesel. The 6.7 is a little better than my 5.4 but pretty close to the 3.5 and 5.0 reported mileage, Except for killing them in towing and payload, haha! I traveled a lot and always got worse mileage on my gasser in my home state of ND, always picked up a couple mpgs in other states, not sure if we have ****tier gas here or what but mpgs improved every time in other states at the same speeds, crazy but true! Love that diesel though, I think ford has a winner with the 6.7, put at the 6.0 and 6.4 troubles behind them. Not really seeing any major problems with them, though they are relatively new yet. Going on a road trip in 3 weeks for 3 months with my 5th wheel camper to NV, AZ, CA and places in between, can't wait!

I will say I noticed a definite steering difference as well.
