This is one of the main reasons I upgraded. Look at that payload!

If I had the funds to pay for a lot of gas while commuting, I would had gone with the F250 Screw 4WD 6.2 as well.

Just be aware that the engine in that heavy truck will roughtly have the weight to power ratio (both torque and Hp) as an Older GM 5.3L in a F150.

So you'll have less towing power than with a F150 5.0L. BUT seeing these F150 trucks have so much power, the lower towing power in the F250 will likely be alright. It should tow much more confidently and have that great payload. It is a truck and not a sports car after all.

Tell us what type of daily driving and towing mileage you get, so those of us on the fence, can decide which side to jump on.

Congrats!

Nice Ride. I am thinking of doing the same when my lease is up come May.
Since mine is a daily driver too, I worry about the gas mileage for my short commute ( 12 each way). I get about 15 now with the Ecoboost but only about 8 when I tow.
Good luck with it and post some interior pics and mileage stats when you get a chance.

Thanks.

12 miles? That's not a commute but a walk.

I commute 35 miles each way and that's not as bad as others I know doing 70 miles each way.

I get around 17 to 17.5 mpg commuting. It's mixed expressway and town driving. I was told 10 - 12 mpg daily driving in a 6.2L F250. That's was worse than the Titan mileage that put me in the poor house.

Happy with my 5.0L mileage.

Fiscal reasons, but F250 Lariat + gas for it + bigger trailer and more insurance for both?

Regardless, glad you like it! And I favor the 6.2L choice.

Damn that's a nice looking interior. Not that I've ever complained about my truck but that's really nice

Yeah I would probably get gas too. I heard to service the engine of the new diesels you have to lift the whole cab up. Costs like 6,000.

Congrats on the new truck!

That is an option for me, as well. I'm waiting to see what the Atlas looks like and if it doesn't wind me up I'll check out the F250. I hope the Roush supercharger works on the F250 6.2.

This was my last F250-
