Congrats Ed on your deal, I'm sure you will be much happier! As for the 5.0 I am loving mine!

I had followed your reports and cringed before so I am glad the dealer you worked with made it right and gave you a great deal. That's very generous of them. I wish you had given another EB a try as I have 12k miles on mine and am getting great MPGs. But good luck with your new truck. It's now your turn to have some luck with this one.

And I checked out your website and they are some great looking knives you make there.

Hope you like the 5.0 I know a lot of people do. My uncle just got a 5.0 Lariat so I'll get to test drive it over Thanksgiving!!

Only problem I've ever had with my 6.2 is the rear window leaking

I haven't had any problems with my EB but I get around 16.5 mpgs out of it. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't get the EB. Good luck with your new truck.

Good luck with your 5.0. I got one and gave me 19.6 on my way from Texas to Kentucky. This is my first Ford, so far i love my truck. We will see how will work on my way back to Texas and I will be towing a trailer.

your roads must be awful flat to get that kind of mileage with the 5.0. I like mine, but highway is more like 15 mpg if I'm lucky. Usually worse.

When I bought my 5.0 the first of March '11, I thought I would buy a Econo Boost, however there was very few in the pipeline because of a parts issue. Hard to get a good deal when the dealers only have one, or maybe none. Any way I have not regretted buying a v8. Plenty of power and good mileage. I hope you have the same!!
