Hope you enjoy it as much as you obviously enjoyed the last one.
that was the thing, really didn't need a full size truck. when I bought it we had these grand ideas that we'd get a camper and atvs, but then we decided the responsible thing would be to buy a house. and that was that. haha what a cool truck that ford is though. being able to waste a Sunday detailing it, fiddling with the electronics and vinyl. meh, guess its time for some new memories!

Well I thought from the thread title, that the op learned he was terminally ill and soon would pass.

Turns out...worse:

He bought a Chevy.

When they first came out along with the GMC's I would get faked out, almost every time thinking it was a full size truck...

Nice little truck, but I have to ask, Couldn’t you get just as good fuel mileage with a 3.5na or a 2.7eb? Seems like you could have allot more truck with little to no more fuel consumption.

That's the thing I never get about the midsize trucks. They pretty much cost the same and the mpg is pretty much the same as certain engines the full size use. They are nice looking but I just can't get over the price they get for them.

That's the thing, I don't need a vehicle the size of an f150. Sure I could have tried my luck with a ecoboost, but the price I paid for this truck vs what it would have cost for a comparable full size wasn't worth it financially. Just dont need the utility of it. So, I bought what I needed. Nothing more.

I'm not questioning your decision, you bought what you wanted/Fit you, good for you.
I'm sorta in the same situation though, My wife drives a 2012 Mitsubishi RVR AWD, great little car/suv, she has 100000 miles on it and its still running strong, it gets 28-30mpg, we will be replacing it in the next year or so though, I really cant see myself getting into a cramped little Car/SUV/Truck again when I can be driving a full size for roughly the same cost, I think we will be buying a Full size truck with the largest cab and the smallest engine available for our next family vehicle. Another reason for my decision is resale, the full size stuff seems to hold value much better imho
