I slapped some Michelin LTX AT2's on my Platinum, 275/65/20 is the size... supposedly they fit perfectly on 4x4 trucks, but not on 4x2 models.

How are you liking the AT2's? I'm considering swapping the stock Pirellis the day I take delivery, but am wondering whether I should go with the LTX AT2s or the LTX M/S2s...I like the look of the former but the pragmatist in my says go with the latter...thx

I ended up getting rid of that truck as it was problematic, but I ended up switching to Michelin LTX AT2 285/55/20 that replaced the Pirellis. I ordered a 2013 fx4 and plan to keep those tires and put them on the new truck when it arrives. The difference is less than 1% vs stock tires and they are LT instead of P tires. Ironically the stock tire size is identical for the tundra platinum i have and the f150 fx4 i ordered.... so the pirellis will go on the tundra and my 12k mile michelins will go on the new truck i ordered.

My experience with the Michelin tires is better stopping distances, better response on highway, better gas mileage due to less roll resistance, and they are quiet for being an all terrain tire. They do come at a premium though, each tire is roughly $380. If the dealership won't let me have my tires on the new truck, I'll just drive the new truck to the tire shop and trade em in and get around 200-250 per tire towards a new set of michelins.

Please report back on the mileage decrease and the change in ride. Like the tire not sure if the trade-offs are worth it for the LTs for my driving.

40k on my stock tires here, no complaints, although they do suck in the rain for sure!

Plan on replacing them before winter with either Cooper Zeon LTZ's, Hankook Dynapros or Nitto Terra Grapplers in 275/60/20

I will be switching out to Duratracs soon and selling my almost new stock pirellis and my winter tire set.
