My Pirellis have about 22k miles and all 4 are down to the wear bars. They were terrible with full tread last winter, so I need new tires ASAP. Just didn't want to have to buy new tires already for a 1 year old truck. Terra Grapplers were great on my previous trucks, so I'm going with them again.

I have 37,000 miles on my stock Pirellis and the outside tread is about worn down (middle is much deeper by design). still quite a bit left in the tire. They have handled great in the rain and dry conditions. Spinning in the rain is a torque problem, not a tire LOL

I am a little skeptical this winter but we shall see.

I have 45000 on my Pirelli's. I am looking at alternatives but don't want to sacrifice the quiet ride. These tires don't make a sound. I have had Cooper ATR's before and all they do is sing. Anyone able to shed some honest light on the sound quality of their replacement tires?

I have michelins on a 2004 f150 supercab 2008 rav 4 and 2008 tundra that I traded in on my 2011 lariat supercab. The michelins are the best tires out there in my opinion. They are pricey but at 70000 mile tire they are still a good deal for the quality.

I have had the stock scorpions a pair of Zeons, and now a pair of michelin ltx at2's. No comparison the michelins are the best out of the three.

I only have 3600 miles on my ATR's and I think they're great. Since I don't want to run my black 20's in the winter, I'm buying a second set of 18's for the winter with duratracs. I'm sure the ride will be significantly different, so it's not an apples to apples replacement. Duratracs seem to get great reviews if you're looking for a more aggressive tread.

I would have to agree. if you want a great highway tire that lasts forever the michelin LTX are the way to go and if you want more traction and still a 50,000 mile warranty the michelin A/T2.

I have the Michelin LTX MS/2's and they are hands down quieter on the road, smoother riding and better in the snow than the POS Pirelli... 30K miles on them on my 2012 F150 Lariat and they don't even look worn.

That was/is my intention (they (over)use salt on the roads here Cincy, OH) I picked up a set of 17" 2011 steel rims for almost nothing and then I recently came across a set of the 20" Chrome Clad rims w/Pirellis that are a bit worn from a 2009 Lariat, one rim has a finish scuff, but they look great. So I am undecided on getting some winter 17" tires or keeping everything 20" and getting some better tires for those and either selling the 17" F150 XL rims or selling the Clad 20's/Pirellis. Deep snow is not the major concern it is 4 mos of the cold and wet roads and salt. Either way I intend to take off my oem FX 20's. I have 7k on my ATR's and have had no issues since new in Feb. So they will be for spring/summer/fall use.

Old thread... but here is another vote for Michelin LTX M/S2. I have about 10k on mine and they're like new even with some towing thrown in. Quiet and grippy. I love them. They are not good looking though.
