I ordered the black ones , I don't know why I was thinking I ordered the smoke ones , my bad ! But did install tonight was very simple . The third brake light had to slice the 3 wires for install but simple to do and they look great . Didn't have a picture at night though yet but here is one i did take!

Yeah all aftermarket 3rd break lights have to be spliced not a hard job though.

I love the lights here and am also in the market for some. I want to achieve a blacked out truck. Does anyone have pictures of the recon smoked tails in the day? Also, does anyone have pictures of any other brand of smoked tails in the daylight? I already know the light output for all is pretty good at night, but I want to see what they look like in the daytime without the brake light on.

Here they are with the lights off.
Are these the ones you have?

Thumbs down Update

Well today when I got up I noticed some condensation in the right tail light. Lots of rain and weather temperature fluctuations over the last month. I've already removed them and put the OEM ones back in and are in the process of sending them back. I'm getting refunded for them I'm not going to play roulette for a pair that might be good. Looks like the Anzo tail lights are unreliable from my first experience with them. Having a one year warranty isn't worth it's weight if the products are crap.

I'd consider RECONS but they seem to be hit and miss too with others who have been told to "silicone" them up due to condensation or water penetration. No thanks if the aftermarket stuff is crap from the get go I'm not interested. I think at this point I'll stick with the OEM ones until something more reliable comes along or see if maybe the 2014 OEM lights will be LED, won't hold my breath on that either.

Default LEDS in factory assembly

I know the aftermarket assemblies offer different looks and thats what some of you are after but i wanted more of a factory look and didn't want to deal with aftermarket problems with moisture etc.. I went to ddmtuning.com n ordered LEDS for the whole truck inside n out. the taillight setup w resistor cost me about $50 n they are a major upgrade from the factory halogens. for anyone going this route you'll need 4 resistors total for the whole truck, one behind each taillight socket. The front you don't need any resistors to run Leds.

Yup, that was why I passed on the Anzo's! Gonna wait to see if Ford puts leds on the 2014's!
