Default Was going to trade but....

I got to the dealer and parked my truck next to the new one and had 2nd thoughts. Seeing the discounts were so deep and I love that new car smell I was going to pull the trigger. Sitting inside the dealer looking out the window I actually liked mine better. Of course the dealer jerked me around and what they originally told me they would do had changed in their favor. BUT seeing that I had second thoughts anyway made it that much easier to grab my keys and walk out the door with a smile on my face.

Ahhh, the allure of that new car smell...

I think you made the right choice.

Unless there was just a stupid good deal on a new truck, I'd keep mine as well. Your truck looks good.

I like the look of that generation a lot more than I do the newer ones. I hope Ford steps it up when I'm ready to replace mine down the road.

It was until they tried to scam me, and go back on what they originally said they were going to give me for a trade

You have a beautiful truck..think of it this way, instead of having that "new vehicle" smell you now will have more money in your pocket because you saved money by not trading your truck...that money in your pocket is a lot better than a new vehicle smell IMO!

Must be in the new sales training manual, the dealer that I was working with last month did the same exact thing. Great trade in offer, then just before closing, the used car manager did not approve the trade deal and came back with a low ball offer.

I walked, and I am happy I did as I would have regretted trading in my truck.

My truck smells like cigars. Guess it's mine to keep. Your truck looks great.
