Default Going from 2010 Platinum to 2013 Limited

Stopped by local ford today and looked at a 2013 4X4 Limited,
Their pricing is:
list 55,330
invoice 51,196
asking price 46,946.
Above reflects with the 995 destination included. You thoughts on this deal? I was disappointed that the MFT/w Nav didn't seem to rip the cds like my 2010, so I guess it doesn't have an internal hard-drive for music storage.

I don't know how good your deal is, but my question is why are you moving up. I have a 10 Platinum as well. After seeing yesterday's 15 I thought a new truck would be nice. Just curious.

Not bad honestly. My 2013 Plat that I've had almost 2 weeks had a similar sticker (just north of $55k, but had 4400 miles on it as it was a dealer demo. I was out the door, dest fee, tax, title, tags, bed cover, delivery oil change and a small maintenance package for less than $46k.

In the end...if YOU think it's a good deal, then it's a good deal, and what we think isn't all that important.

Your deal is fine, at this point dealers are selling 2013 at net, net, net. So basically you have MSRP, invoice, holdback, rebates. So you should be able to buy at invoice price minus holdback - rebates. Call Ford Marketing yourself and find out exactly what your rebates/incentives are. There is no money after they give the hold back away. They may make some money on the APR.

No real reason (wild hair, I guess) The red/black interior on the limited is gorgeous though. I bought a 1st model year vehicle once and will never do so again, by 2016 all the bugs will hopefully be worked out on the new F150. The 2015 looks pretty cool IMO.

Are some dealers actually giving up some of the hold-back? From the sheet I have, the dealer hold-back for this truck is $1630. It also lists advertising fees of $815 and a $140 fuel fee.

Absolutely! In fact at this point sitting in Mid January with 2014 on the lots and more arriving they will let them go with no profit. Maybe you are trading and they can make some money on that.

I bought a 2013 when the first hit the lots, and I split the hold back with the dealer. Not everyone will do it but you have to just tell them what you want and if they don't do it then that is certainly their right.

Hmmm, maybe I'll do some more price shopping
